The BMW 6 Series coupe presented in 1976 was the top of the BMW range replacing the 3.0 CS and CSI. The French designer Paul Bracq created the shapes that inspired a new design generation within the complete brand. Only available as 630 and 633 CSi at the beginning, the 6 Series coupe was a perfect car for fast highway trips, the road holding was very safe even at high speed, and the inside was pretty luxury with good noise insulation. Then in 1978 appeared the 635 CSI, which was upgraded in 1982 with a new engine type M30B34 and the new platform of 5 Series E28. This 3430 cc is one of the mythical BMW 6 cylinders in line, easy recognizable for its voluptuous sound, becoming more metallic when climbing at high rotation per minutes. Developing 218 horsepower, it can run the car up to 225 km/h and is coupled with an excellent 5-manual gearbox from Getrag. The 6 Series coupe was the BMW demonstration of know how and brand positioning as high performances, innovating design and luxury.
