Sorry, too late !
Mr. Gérald Wade, American emissary for the Unesco in Paris, takes delivery of his 914 2L Phoenix Red on December 13th 1972 at the official Parisian Porsche distributor : the garage Jean Dizier. Incredible!! The originale invoice and the delivery order sent by Sonauto are present as well as its original service book and many maintenance invoices, all its tools and its spare key. The car also crossed the Atlantic for some time and was reimported, still by its owner that couldn’t do without it. Always maintained at the garage, 40 rue Laugier in Paris, our emissary developed a friendship with Mr. Dizier father and in 2011 he naturally decided, then aged 91, to contact the garage for a recovery of his car that he is very attached to. He meets Mr. Edouard Dizier, succeeding the family garage. The car needed a complete re-paint and a large overhaul. All the mechanics were taken off and entirely refurbished, including engine, gearbox, drive axles, brakes, suspensions, etc. All these works were done in the Parisian garage and now the car is for sale in Reims.
The car is entirely matching numbers. It left the factory with the chassis number 4732908088, it still has its original engine number 001605 of 100 hp, its original color Phoenix Red L32K and its original car radio. The car actually is in an exceptional preserved state. All these elements testify a very careful maintenance throughout these years and prove the importance that the owner gave to this car.
