In 1962 is revealed the Porsche 356 C at Frankfort exhibition, the last evolution of this model. Its very first presentation in 1948 was already far away, the renowned beauty of this car got a great commercial and media success while many victories in competition have proven its huge sport’s capacity. On the road, the SC (Super C) is in charge to satisfy the customers looking for dynamism, with 20 horsepower more than the basic model and slowed down by the latest technology at the time, 4 brake discs. The most powerful version of the 1600cc flat-4 develops 95 horsepower, which could appear moderate today but to be placed in perspective with a very agile car weighting only 935 kilos, a great engine and incredible feelings given by a 60 years old car. This convertible Porsche 356 1600 SC, chassis number 159749, was produced the 19th December 1963 and delivered to the United States. Then this car has been imported to France in 2011. Its Porsche authenticity Certificate mentions the replacement by the factory of the engine N°810896 by N°812201, still the same type 616/16, the 17th May 1969 when the car had been driven 22 659 kilometers. As factory options, the car shown its very nice and original black leather interior and carpets, chrome steel wheels and a chromed luggage rack. Perfectly maintained, 12V converted and recently revised, this car will be delivered with its original owner manual and tools, its agreed value expertise, its maintenance folder and French registration.
