Lamborghini Espada S2 Bronzo – Restored, all matching numbers with power steering and AC

Sorry, too late !

The Lamborghini Espada was presented in 1968 during the Geneva Motorshow. Designed by the young Marcello Gandino from Bertone, this luxurious four seats coupé with extravagant lines and a strong sporty character was instantly approved unanimously, leading to a commercial success. Its futuristic line made a strong impression: very low, with a very inclined windscreen and a nearly horizontal rear window, the Espada astonished by its modernity.

Propelled by a powerful 4.0 L V12 placed at the front, this spacious rolling saloon combines performance and luxury with a combination of leather, wood and chromes inside. Over the years, the Espada received some modifications. The Series 2 « GTE » appears in December 1969, with first of all an upgrade of the dashboard, now more functional, ultra light Campagnolo wheels in magnesium, and a power increased by 25 hp. Thanks to this reworked engine, close to the Miura S engineering, the V12 then delivers 350 hp. On the outside, an additional glass on the trunk replaces the black protective grid of the first series. Only 575 S2 left the production lines between December 1969 and November 1972. With four real seats inside with more than 250 km/h in 1969, that was incredible!

Our Espada S2, from a rare original Bronzo color, was entirely restored in Modena in Italy and only drove 3000 km since. All matching numbers, our chassis 7978 has in options a rare power steering and AC. Today in French papers, it will be delivered to its new owner with its complete restoration file and an appraisal value.
