Porsche 911 2.4 T Gulf Blue Oil Klappe

Sorry, too late !

In 1971 the « classic » 911 receives its ultimate improvements with a new increase from a 2.2 to a 2.4 engine, delivering 130 hp with the 911 T. In the USA only, the 911 T is equipped with a mechanical injection and, for the first time in the history of Porsche, its power increases to 140 hp.

The legendary Oil Klapper also appears at this time, an oil filler located on the right rear wing, positioned here when Porsche moved the oil tank in front of the rear axle. This layout was taken from the mythical 911 R and was subject to controversy leading to its removal since the 73 version because of risk of confusion with the fuel filler.

Our 2.4 T was delivered new in Minnesota to Mr. Roy McGregor in July 1972 with the chassis number 911 210 2076. This US injection version of 140 hp is therefore one of the rare exemplars that have an oil trap. Its highly desirable original Gulf Blue 328 was only resprayed once 30 years ago. It is today beautifully patinated and became matt through time. Time also anodized its rear hood grid and patinated its Fuchs wheels, which is of the most beautiful effect. Its engine type 911/51 number 6123246 is matching. Equipped with a 5-speed gearbox type 915 in option, also matching with the first gear on the top-left, it also has in options tinted glass, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, headrests and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio that are still in the car today. Its Pepita interior (houndstooth) and its carpeting are absolutely original. The front compartment is not repainted and original. Imported in 2010, the car is offered with its original service book, its original owner’s manuals and its tool kit. French registration and full maintenance.
